After 12 years as a public service project with little time for marketing apart from search engine listings, I'm amazed by the thousands of hits* I'm seeing on website usage reports. Lacking time and energy for actively developing link exchanges or overtly selling advertising space (I'd rather write and webcraft), I've resorted to this webpage instead. If you appreciate the potential here,please read on.

Your Ad Design: Your add need to be 100 PIXELS WIDE exactly, and can be up to three inches deep. Media Visions is designed for vertically-shapped advertising to be displayed in the menu bar on the right side of the page. The menu bar on the right allows pages to be printed vertically without losing any text, and reduces wrist stress. So please prepare a vertical ad (like the one below), which will fit into the menu bar. Please create a standard GIF or small JPEG file (33k or smaller preferred).

Now that we're averaging 25-30,000 distinct visitors every month, Media Visions Journal at last is accepting paid advertising from companies that share our vision for deep media literacy. The base rate is $10/CPM. We're also open to discussing cooperative marketing campaigns.

  If you would like to place an ad within the Media Visions Journal website, here are the fees:
  • $200 per month for an ad on the website's home page.

  • $1,200 per month for that ad placed on ALL active pages (not inactive archive sections).

  AD DISCOUNTS
  Multiple ad placements earn increasing discounts:

  • No discount for 1-month advertising contracts.
  • 5 percent discount for 3-month ad contracts.
  • 10 percent discount for 6 month ad contracts.
  • 15 percent discount for 1-year ad contracts.
  • 20 percent discount for 2-year ad contracts.
  • 25 percent discount for 3-year ad contracts.
  • 10 percent additional discount for joint website and blog buys.

  RECIPROCAL LINKS
  Want to trade links? Here are the details:

  • Media Visions seldom does plain link exchanges, and usually only with noncommercial websites.
  • No free links to commercial ventures are accepted for the Interactive TV Resources page.

  • Addtional 10 percent discount on paid advertising for posting a reciprocal link at your website
    (on agreed page or pages) that points to Media Visions URL(s) specified by MV's publisher.
  • Reciprocal links need to correspond numerically, e.g., one ad for one ad, three ads for three ads.

  TERMS & CONDITIONS
  All advertising at Media Visions is subject to the following terms and consitions:

  • All advertising must be compatable with our vision for deep media literacy.
  • No charge for swapping out an ad with the same file name every 30 days.
  • $20 fee per instance for swapping out an ad more often than every 30 days.
  • $25 recoding fee for swapping out an ad with a different file file name.
  • All advertising placements are subject to publisher's approval.
  • Publisher reserves the right to decline any ad without cause.
  • All advertising must be paid in advance upon acceptance.
  • All advertising must be paid in advance unles agreed otherwise in writing.
  • Any ad not paid when due is subject to a 10 percent monthly late fee.
  • Publisher may pull ads for no-payment or any violation of these terms.
  • Refunds will be pro-rated according to payment dates and pull dates.

   

  DISPLAY ADVERTISING SIZES:

  Banner ads need to be exactly 100 pixels high and exactly 600 pixels wide.
