My
first love was radio, having grown up with radio theater,
and I have written several radio plays. At my college
radio station about 1970, I went from rip-n-read
newscaster and night DJ into news director, then program
director. More than a decade later, I briefly produced
cultural affairs stories for Voice of America (one story
won a Top Hand Award from the Colorado Authors League).
I later produced three
documentaries for community cable, including the
decide-for-yourself study of spiritualism, Light
Channels. Forr Denver PBS affiliate KBDI, I was
associate producer on the documentary, The Changing
Face of AIDS. Plus I've produced public service spots
for radio and television. Currently, I produce radio news
reports for Thin Air, the NPR regional radio service for
the Rockies.
Creating interactive media
content, I coordinated the Denver leg of the first 1989
Jason Project -- live interactive satellite telecasts
(satcasts) from the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea by
Dr. Robert Ballard and the Woods Hole Oceanographic
Institute (Ballard found the Titanic), exhibited at the
Denver Museum of Natural History.
My journalism work covering
interactive media has educated me on the latest media
production options for all digital platforms, especially
interactive TV. I am interested in partnerships and
alliances to produce and own interactive media
properties.
